WIP 2 - [link] WIP 3 - [link] Close up here: [link] OMG.  I say "Final," but I might go back and touch this up later when I've had a bit of a breather from it. Note: I am not this pretty in IRL. This painting has no acne, is wearing makeup and doesn't have frizzy hair. :3 Finally, an update over the one I did in 2005: [link] ...kinda nice to see progress between the two. -- Meh. That's how I sign things.  Wow... just Wow. I don't know where to start. I am in complete awe. self portraits are incredibly hard, I think you're very succesful with this one. It's well proportioned and very well painted. You've got the skin/flesh tones down perfectly. Again, no criticism as such... I really admire your painting skills and dedication. Well done!

 There's a real progression between this and the earlier portrait too which is lovely to see - just imagine where you'll be in another 4 years! Now go have a liedown - I think you deserve it! I had to do a double-take initially as I thought this was a photo, and then I read that it was your self-portrait that you were working on. Your progression has truly shown between the original self-portrait and the new one. I could easily go into a long-winded essay as to how impressed I am with how you got those details down, but I will spare you the excessive reading and conclude with an enthusiastic "Well done!"

  it's beautiful! You're beautiful! I understand about the frizzy hair by the way, I too suffer with that (and the handful of self portraits I've done in the past, I've eliminated the frizz). I love the smirk on your face here and you captured that. It's a very warm piece, you're reserved by still approachable by the look on your face here. The eyes are my favorite! -- "As if you could outrun me! As if you could fight me off! Don't be afraid," he murmured, his velvet voice unintentionally seductive. -Edward Cullen, Twilight, page 264. And just for the record, real vampires DO sparkle!   wow..this is amazing..awesome indeed!

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
